[VS] Find and open files from your Visual Studio Solution

Do you think Resharper is too heavy but miss CTRL + T to quickly find and open files in your solution? Does Visual Studios 'Go To All' (CTRL + ,) not give you what you want? After reading this, you know how to use a lightweight Visual Studio extension to find and open files quickly

Visual Studio has a feature called Go To All which is triggered with CTRL + , and looks like this:

go to all

If you search for ‘menu’, Visual Studio suggests anything that starts with ‘menu’. If you are only interested in files that start with ‘menu’ you might want to look into Ian Wrights VSFileNav, a Visual Studio extension that is dedicated to opening files from your solution.

Install in Visual Studio 2015 or 2017

Hook it up to CTRL + T

Now CTRL + T will open the Quick Find File dialog. A big thanks to Ian Wright for creating this great tool!
